Bajra Poori is a very tasty and easy to make recipe, its fluffy poori made by replacing wheat flour with bajra flour, methi in the regular making of poori. Bajra poori is an alternate poori to must try at home for special occasions and weekends.

Bajra Poori is a twist to our regular poori with methi flavor. Bajra Poori is a popular traditional Rajasthani dish.

Traditionally fresh methi leaves are used but if you don’t have fresh methi leaves then you can use dried kasoori methi. A tasty and nutritious poori made with pearl millet \ bajara  flour methi and some spices. You must try once in this weekend and enjoy with your loved once.

You can add this poori in tiffin or lunch box of your loved once.

Ingredients-

2 cup bajra flour or pearl millets flour

2 tbspn gram flour

1 cup fresh methi leaves

1/2 teaspoon jeera

1/4 teaspoon turmeric powder

1/4 teaspoon red chilli powder

1/4 teaspoon coriander powder

3-4 green chilli

3-4 garlic cloves

1 tspn ginger

2 tspn whole dhaniya

½ tspn jeer

½ black pepper

2 tspn desi ghee

salt to taste

2 tspn soya or dil leaves

Method

Take mixer grinder add garlic dhaniya jeera balck pepper green chilli and ginger add little water make paste.

Take mixing bowl or thali add 2 cup of bajara flour, 2 tbspn besan, add prepared paste salt to taste.

 

Now add one cup of chopped methi soya leaves or dhaniya patti haldi powder, red chilli powder, chopped green chilli and add 2 tbspn desi ghee.

Mix all ingredients well.

Add gradually water and knead a soft dough. Keep aside for 10 min.

Rest for 10 mins. Knead again for 2 mins. Pinch a small lemon sized ball, flatten slightly. Repeat to finish the dough.

Take small piece of dough dust dry wheat flour and give poori shape with the help of palm. If you want to roll poori you can.

Heat oil and fry all pooris using a ladle it will puff up fully. Then flip over and cook. Remove and carefully drain plate.

Serve Bajra Poori hot with aloo gravy or chutney.
