One of the favourite dishes from Indian Chinese cuisine is chilli Paneer. This Paneer chilli recipe gives a truly restaurant style taste and flavour. You can make the gravy slightly thick or having medium consistency. If serving with rice, then the gravy or sauce can be medium to medium-thin. If serving as starter the sauce can be slightly thick.

Preparation Time- 20 min.

Cooking time- 10 min

Coarse- side dish or starter

Serve- 4 person

Ingredients

For frying-

2tbspn corn starch

250 gram paneer

1 tbsp maida

½ balck paper powder

Salt to taste

For gravy-

1 small chopped spring onion

2 midium sized chopoed onion

3-4 green chilli chopeed or slit

2 tspn chopped ginger

2 tspn chopped garlic

1 small capsicum chopped in square

2 tespn soya sause

1 tspn red chilli sauce

¼ tspn black paper powder

½ kashmiri red chilli powder

Salt as needed

½ cup of water or add as needed

1 tbspn corn flour

1/3 tspn white vinegar

Spring onion for garnishing

 

Method-

Take a bowl add corn flour, maida, black paper powder, salt and cubes of Paneer and mix properly.

Heat a pan add oil and fry all coated Paneer.

Remove the Paneer cubes on absorbent paper and keep aside.

In the same pan, heat oil and add 2 tspn finely chopped ginger, 2 tspn chopped garlic and chopped chilli.

Stir fry on medium to high flame for some seconds then add  chopped spring onions and chopped onion.

Stir fry spring onions for 1 -2 min on medium flame.

Now add sliced capsicum and sauté.

Continue stering on medium flame for 3- 4 min.. The capsicum only needs to be slightly cooked.

After cooked capsicum add kashmiri mirch and sauté.

Then add 2 tspn soya sauce, vinegar and 1 tspn red chilli sauce and stir.

Add 1  cup of water and mix well,

Let the mixture on medium flame.

Take a bowl add 1 tbspn corn starch and add 2-3 spoon of water mix very well to get a smooth paste.

Mix the  corn flour paste in to the gravy and mix properly.

Add  1 spoon of sugar.

Season with salt as per your taste.

Mix very well and simmer till the gravy and the starch has cooked.

Add the fried Paneer cubes and mix very well with gravy.

Check the gravy for your requirement.

Now Paneer chilli is ready garnish with spring onions and serves.

Note- If you want serves as starter add ½ cup of water and keep dry Paneer Chilli.
