Preparation time- 10 min

Cuisine- Indian curries


Boiled Baby potatoes- 6-8

Chopped onion- 2 medium size

Tomato- 2 small size

Green chili 2-3 silted

1 tspn Kashmiri red chilli powder

½ tspn haldi powder

2 tbspn oil

1 tspn dhaniya powder

1 tspn jeera powder

1 tspn garam masala

½ cup of fresh curd

2 tspn tomato puree

Salt to taste

1 tspn kasoori methi

Dhaniya patti for garnishing.



Take   kadai, add a tsp of oil and heat oil.

Add boiled potatos add red chilli powder, haldi powder and little bit salt saute 2 min.

After that remove fried potatoes.

And take same pan or kadahi add more oil and bay leaf, cumin seeds lets splutter.

Now add chopped onion saute min.

Add salt to taste for onion cook quickly.

Now add spices like chilli powder, turmeric powder, coriander powder, cumin powder

And garam masala.

Add some water for mix masala and Continue to fry till oil separates.

Now add tomato puree or paste and mix well.


Now add fried potatoes and mix well.

Turn the flame to low and add curd. give a good mix.

Add 1or as per your need cup of water or as required to adjust the consistency.

Cover and cook for 4-5 min.

Lastly add some crushed kasuri methi.

Garnish with coriander leaves and serve dum aloo hot with rice, chapathi or naan.
