Kachumber Salad is a simple Indian salad containing a mix of onions, tomatoes, cucumber, Carrot, coriander leaves or mint, green chillies and a few spices brought together with a lemon juice. If you love having some fresh, raw veggies with your meals, try this easy and delicious Indian staple.
One of the great joys of kachumber is that it is made without any dressing and there is no oil or fat included in this salad. The seasonings, herbs and spices are simply mixed with the veggies.


Whenever I make any type of paneer recipe or any type of biryani recipe or any curry recipe to go with rice or roti, I always make kachumber to include some raw veggies in our meals.
Eating raw vegetables can not only give you increased energy, improved skin texture, and better digestion, it can also help you ward off cardiovascular disease.

Cousin- Salad
Serve- 4 person
Ingredients-
1 finely chopped cucumber
1 medium size onion finely chopped
2-3 green chilli chopped
1 grated carrot
1 chopped tomato
Chopped coriander leaves
2 tbspn lemon
Salt to taste
½ tspn black pepper powder
1 tspn chilli flakes
1 tspn roasted cumin powder
Method-
Take a bowl and add washed and chopped all vegies.
Add 1 tbspn of lemon juice, salt to taste, ½ tspn black pepper powder. 1 tspn Roasted jeera powder, 1 tspn chilli flakes.
Mix well all ingredients and at last add coriander leaves.
Kachumber Salad is ready to serve.
