Papad Raita Recipe is unique and very different from the other raita recipes. It’s simple and easy to make with very few easily available ingredients from the pantry. Use the spicy or the pepper papad for this recipe to make the dish interesting.


Serve the Papad Raita along with any type of Pulav for a simple dinner or Lunch.

Preparation time- 5 min

Cooking time- 2 min.

Cousin- side dish



Dahi or curd- 1cup

Roasted papad- 2 no.

½ tspn jeera powder

½ tspn black salt

½ red chilli powder

½ chaat masala

Salt to taste

½ tspn oil

2-3 chopped green chilli

1/3 tspn rai

1/3 red chilli powder

Chopped dhaniya patti



To begin making the Papad Raita, roast or fry the masala papad using a gas stove and keep aside.

Crushed Papad and keep aside.



Now, take a big bowl, pour the curd and whisk it to a smooth and creamy consistency.

Add the sugar and salt mix well. Roasted cumin powder, red chilli powder and black salt to taste.

Add chopped green chilli and chaat masala.

Just before serving add the roughly crushed roasted papads and finely chopped coriander leaves and mix well.

Heat oil in tadka pan add rai and red chilli powder and pour tadka in curd mixture.

Serve the Papad Raita Recipe along with or any other type of Pulao or serve as side dish of lunch or dinner.
