Aloo suji khasta poori is amazing to add lunchbox, breakfast or any special occasion recipe.

An easy and healthy alternative to the popular wheat or maida based deep-fried breads made with semolina. It has the same texture and properties as traditional puri, but rava is made with semolina for a better experience. It makes a perfect combo meal when served with Aloo Curry, or any type of curry recipe,

Semolina – 1 cup

Hot Water – 1 cup

Boiled potato – 2

1 cup wheat flour

Salt – to taste

Red Chili – 1 tsp

Asafetida- 2 pinch

Cumin Seed – 1/2 tsp

Carom Seed – 1 tsp

Turmeric Powder – 2 pinch

Chopped green chilli 2-3

Chopped Coriander

Oil – for frying

To make the perfect Aloo Suji Ki Puri, take a wide plate, add 1 cup of fine Suji, 1 cup of hot water, mix well, and let it rest for 5 minutes.


Take two boiled and peeled potatoes and grate with the help of a fine grater.

check the suji, add grated potato, 1 cup wheat taste salt, 1 tsp of red chilli flakes, 2 pinches of asafetida, ½  tsp of cumin seeds, 1 tsp of crushed carom seeds, 2 pinches of turmeric powder, ½ red chilli powder and ½ cup of dhaniya patti.


1 teaspoon of oil, mix well all ingredients and prepare a soft dough. Add water if needed.

cover the dough and let it rest for 5 minutes.

check the dough and prepare small balls with it.



one by one, roll all the puri.

place a pan on flame, add oil for frying, and heat well.

After the oil is medium-hot, add the prepared puri and fry well until golden and crispy.

After the poori turns golden and crispy, transfer the poori to a plate and fry the next puri.

Now your perfect Masala Aloo Suji Puri is completely ready.

Serve with curd chatney or any gravy curry.
