Shalgam or turnip a member of reddish family that taste much milder is a winter vegetable.

Turnip is a very healthy recipe with a combination of gajar and matar its make a very healthy and delicious sabji.

This delicious mouth watering  and healthy recipe is famous dish of north India.

Turnip cook easily and its taste fantastic when combined with gajar and matar.

It is an easy and simple recipe that is perfect to make in a lunch or dinner.

This is homely and satiating that you will thoroughly enjoy, when with had roti or triangle paratha.

Prepartion time- 10 min.

Cooking time- 15 min.

Serving- 4 person

Ingredients-

Turnip- 3-4 chopped in cubed

Gajar- 2-3 chopped in cubed

Matar- peeled ½ cup

Turmeric powder- ½ tspn

Green chilli- 2-3 chopped

Oil – 2 tbspn

Jeera- ½ tspn

Salt to taste

Chopped coriander leaves for garnishing

Method-

Wash turnip and carrot  and cut in to cubed.

Heat the oil in a pan or kadahi and add jeera.

When cumin seeds crackle add chopped green chilli sauté for 3-4 sec,

Now add turnip, gajar and matar sauté for one minute now add salt and turmeric powder mix properly.

Cover the veggies and cook on medium flame and stir occasionally.

Let them cook turnip 5-7 min or till they turned soft.

Now turnip veggies is ready add chopped coriander leaves and serve hot with roti or plain paratha.
