Rava cake | Suji cake | Eggless suji ka cake in a pan with detailed photo and video recipe. An easy and simple tea time cake recipe made with fine rava with tutti frutti toppings. It is an ideal snack recipe as it does not carry any fancy ingredients and icing compared to the other fancy cakes. Moreover, the cake is prepared in a saucepan on top of a gas stove without any egg and hence can be served any time.

Ingredients-
2 cup suji or rawa
½ cup oil
1 cup fresh curd
1 cup sugar
1 cup milk or as per need
1 pinch salt
½ tspn baking powder
¼ tspn baking soda
½ cup Red and yellow tutti frutti
Method-
Firstly, in a grinder take 2 cup rava. grind to fine powder, keep aside.
Take a large bowl take ½ cup oil, 1 cup curd and 1 cup sugar.
Whisk and mix until the sugar dissolves completely.
Now add 1 cup milk and mix well.
further add powdered rava, ¼ tsp salt and mix well.
Mix well making sure everything is well combined.
Cover and rest for 10 minutes or until the rava is soaked well.
Mean while, grease oil to a saucepan and line with baking paper.
After the batter has rested for 10 minutes, mix well making sure the rava has absorbed well.
add ½ tsp baking powder, ¼ tsp baking soda, and ¼ cup milk. mix well.
Now add ½ cup red tutti frutti, and yellow tutti frutti and mix well.
Take heavy bottom pan or oak grease with oil.
Transfer the batter to the saucepan.
Top with few tutti frutti.
Now place the saucepan on the burner, keeping the flame on low.
Cover the pan and seal the whole if any using dough.
Simmer for 20 minutes, or until the cake is cooked well.
Alternatively, if using an oven-safe pan, then bake for 45 minutes at 180 degree Celsius.
Insert a skewer and check if the cake is baking completely.
Finally, un mould and cut the tutti frutti rava cake to the size of your choice.
