Tawa Cake Recipe | Eggless Pan chocolate cake |This cake recipe with detailed photo and video recipe. an interesting and innovative way of preparing the soft and moist chocolate cake recipe on Tawa using a gas cooktop. It is basically prepared with the same cake ingredients like plain flour, cocoa, sugar, and wet ingredients. it is also loaded with creamy chocolate.

Cake recipes are always one of the liked and favorite dessert recipes all over the world. it is made with different sets of ingredients with a different set of cooking procedures including oven, cooker or no-bake cake. but there is another way of preparing a cake with tawa or Pan on a cooktop known as Tawa cake which can be attempted by everyone with the same taste and softness.

I have used a non-stick Tawa pan and used butter paper so that once the cake is prepared it can be easily separated. you may use other types of cooking pan, but I would not risk it with a cast iron Tawa. The cake has to be baked in low cooking heat with a properly sealed lid on top of Tawa.

2 cup milk

1/3 cup oil or butter

1 tspn vanilla extract

½ cup of sugar or as per your taste

1 tspn vinegar

1 cup of maida

3 tspn cocoa powder

½ tspn baking powder

¼ tspn baking soda

For chocolate frosting

1/3 cup dark chocolate

1 tspn butter

Some chocolates pearl for garnishing

Method –

  • Take a mixing large bowl take 1 cup milk, ¼ cup oil, 1 tsp vanilla extract, 1 tsp vinegar and ½ cup sugar.

  • whisk and mix well making sure the sugar is dissolved completely.
  • add 1 cup maida, 3 tbsp cocoa powder, 1 tsp baking powder, and ¼ tsp baking soda.

  • mix well using the cut and fold method.

  • add milk as required and prepare a smooth lump-free batter.

  • now grease the pan with butter and line with baking paper. make sure to grease the butter paper, so that you can peel it off easily after baking.

  • pour the prepared cake batter and pat twice to remove any air bubbles.

  • cover and place on very low flame for at least 15-20 minutes.

  • or cook until the toothpick inserted comes out clean.

  • cool completely, and remove the butter paper.


How to make chocolate frosting-

  • Melt dark chocolate double boiler method with butter mix now add very little hot milk and whisk.

  • beat on low speed until the chocolate melt.
  • once the cake is cooled completely, spread the chocolate uniformly.


  • Garnish with some chocolates pearls and serve.

  • slice the cake to the shape of our choice.
  • Enjoy eggless chocolate tawa cake with your loved once.
