Vegetable Rice flour chila is very quick and easy snack item which can be relished in very less efforts. Rice chila is a thin crispy pancake, which is a very quick, healthy and easy to cook snack item. It can be prepared with very few ingredients, and you can add any veggies like cucumber, palak, carrot etc. Rice chila always served hot with tomato sauce or any chutney.
Preparation Time- 15-20 min.
Cooking Time- 3-5 min per chila
Served- 3-4 person
Type- Snack

2 cups of rice flour
salt to taste
finally chopped onion
2 finely chopped green chilies
2  finally chopped tomatoes
½  cup of finely chopped coriander leaves
4 tbspn sweet corn (crushed) (optional)
1-2 grated carrot
4-6 tbspn finally chopped palak
1 tsp of grated ginger
1 cup of water for making batter
Oil for making Chila


Take rice flour in a bowl and add salt and make a batter with one cup of water.  Here I have used the (market) rice flour. 

 Now add all the chopped veggies- tomotoes, dhaniya, green chilies, carrot, palak leaves, crushed corn, ginger and onion.  Give it a good stir with spoon and make a smooth better.




 Heat a non stick pan and grease it with very little oil.
 Put little less than half cup of batter on the pan and spread it evenly with the back of ladle with very light hand.


Put little oil with spoon around the chilla.

As it seems dry, flip it over to the other side with spatula.
Now again add 1 spoon of oil around the chilla.

Cook till very light golden brown.
Vegetable Rice flour chilla  is ready to serve.
Serve hot with chutney or sauce.


Before putting batter on tava or pan, pan should not be too hot.
Batter should not be too thick not too thin.
You can grate some cheese on the top of chilla for kids.
